Woodbridge Town Council become Dementia Friends

On Monday 22 July Dementia Champion Cathy O’Brien delivered a Dementia Friends session to Woodbridge Town Council as part of Woodbridge Dementia Project’s  continuing work to make Woodbridge a dementia friendly community.

As part of Dementia Action Week in May the Cherry Tree pub hosted an event to raise funds and awareness for the Project. Landlords James Buckingham and Andy Thompson organised the event. James was present to pass on the £317.20 raised at the event and to talk about the ways in which local businesses can become more dementia friendly.

Woodbridge Dementia Project was launched in 2018 by the Seckford foundation working in partnership with organisations in and around Woodbridge with the aim of making Woodbridge a dementia friendly town.
