Prestigious ‘Team of the Year (Large Provider)’ accolade awarded to Seckford Care at the ‘Suffolk Care Awards 2023’

Seckford Care in Woodbridge, Suffolk is celebrating being named ‘Team of the Year (Large Provider)’ at the eagerly-anticipated ‘Suffolk Care Awards 2023’, organised by Care Development East, in a glittering ceremony held at The Hangar, Milsoms Kesgrave Hall on the evening of 21st September 2023.

20 members of the Seckford Care team – including Care staff, the Leadership Team, Maintenance, Housekeeping and Catering – were proud to be invited to attend this keynote event, which recognises excellence and outstanding achievements within the care sector across Suffolk.

The annual ‘Suffolk Care Awards’ shine a spotlight on the dedicated professionals and services that make a difference in the lives of those that they serve, and commend the local communities that have continued to support them.

The coveted Team of The Year (Large Provider)’ award acknowledges “the team that has worked together to overcome recent challenges and has gone above and beyond normal service requirements, making a positive impact on the service they offer to clients, partners or the wider community”.

Seckford Care was also shortlisted as a finalist in two additional awards categories by the Care Development East panel:

  • Cathy O’Brien, Head of Development and Communities, for ‘Professional Development’
  • End of Life Care

Gemma Bloomfield, Director of Care at Seckford Care, said:

“Seckford Care was delighted to attend a fantastic event celebrating so many excellent providers and people.

“I feel incredibly fortunate to work alongside such an amazing team, who thoroughly deserve the ‘Team of the Year’ accolade.”

This award follows hot-on-the-heels of Seckford Care’s tremendous success at the inaugural ‘Housing with Care Awards’ in London in June 2023, hosted by ‘Care Talk’ magazine, when the team walked away with two wins and a ‘Highly Commended’. Cassie Parratt won the outstanding ‘Housing Manager (Independent)’ award, Bill Hopley was recognised as ‘Best Activities Coordinator’, and Mike Wilson received ‘Highly Commended’ in the ‘Care Handyperson’ category.
